The roots of Jewishness were obtained from Lithuanian Jews on the maternal line and Russian – on the paternal. The founder of country-rock won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016.

Taylor Mays was born in Texas in 1988. This famous football player got his Jewish roots from his mother while his father is an African-American. Taylor even attended Hebrew school twice a week when he was a child. This sportsman not only had his bar mitzvah but also always celebrates Passover, Chanukah, and Yom Kippur.

The world is full of talented, interesting and creative Jewish people. All those mentioned here were only a part of them, yet these were perhaps the most widely-known ones in the US.
